I have a fantastic stainless steel stand and...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well, it's sitting in my garage. My uncle hand made it for me 25 years ago, and its really really nice.

It's for a 20 gallon tall if I remember correctly. 24 x 12

I'm currently running 5 tanks.

Should I set it up with some new glassware or not?

Would a canister filter and a HOB and a heater be that much more a drain on electricity?

Can I sneak just one past my better half?

Any opinions? should I or shouldn't I? Would you?

None of us deed to keep a dozen tanks... but all of us need "just one more"...

The AC 70 uses 6W of electricity. Compare that to other household items...

A 20 Gal can be kept 15*F warmer than the rooms air temp very easily with a 50W heater... a 25W would probably be enough... (do they make 25 W heaters?)

Canisters generally use a bit more electricity than an HOB, but not by a whole lot. But if keeping electrical usage down is critically important, just go with the HOB.

Very well said. If your concerned about electricity just try to keep a few of your household 60w light bulbs off.
