Alright, so I just recently discovered that it IS possible to get in Crenicichla sp. atabapo!! Cuz Jeff Rapps just got some in!! 5 to be exact. Thing that sucks is that he isn't gonna sell them! So I was wondering if you could look extra hard for these really hard to find pikes. Maybe you could even ask Rapps who his distributor is or where they were caught! He is a great guy that seems willin to help. I would practially do anything to get a pair of these pikes...they are just beyond my wildest dreams. Never even thought i would ever see them come in. If you go to Jeffs forum here in the Buy/Sell under the 7/25/05 pictures....the first picture is of the atabapos! Just for reference! I know you can do it bro!! Best of luck! Thankz

I have talked to Rapps a few times, and he definately has the hook-up. We were going to split orders, but unfortunetly he goes through Newark Airport, which is a long ways away from us.. Causes fish to get held overnight and stuff.

He has alot of connections on the northern side of South America, and in Central America.. He gets fish from alot of locales that I didn't even know farmers collected out of. With political and government issues in some of the countries such as Venezuala and Columbia, there can be MANY issues when collecting and exporting fish. As our business expands, we would like to make connections in these locations to bring in some fish that aren't often seen. A puffer out of South America, C. Psittacus, gets up to 12" and has a personality of a Fahaka!! DAMN! These should be a treasured fish for Puffer Collectors..

I would love to expand to other areas like Xingu basin and northern parts of SA.. Get a wide variety, as I am after a few specific rays like Falkneri, Leos, Henleiis, Retics and Hystrix.. With the ability to collect from a wide variety of area like that, I will have more 'Anashuas' to choose from.

Like I said, for right now, Peru is our 'niche', and we will work hard to get the 4 rare Anashuas that come out of those waters.. I will also keep my eyes peeled for whatever else I can get! You never know.. with the ability to be in close contact with Miguel, hopefully we can do something special and bring in a sexed pair of good sized Cinctas or somethin

pike cichlid fool...lol...i like that...anyway....what four rare pikes come from there? Are they all lugubris pikes? Hmm....probably some of them are Saxatilis pikes eh? Anyway....SOUNDS GREAT BRO!! Thankz! Jer
