I am concerned about our Freshwater Eel he/or/shes body is ballooning up and barely moving but it's head is still small. It looks like the fish is going to POP even it's mouth is funky. I feel real bad and our other eel wont leave it's side. They just lay on the bottom in the corner. We have had the eel for 2 years and is a good size and I will be sad if it dies. This has been going on for about 3 weeks or so. Nothing in the tank has changed in the last year and a half and in with the Eels are a sucker, and Angel fish and I think the tank is plenty big at 55 gall. Any suggestions?

Sorry I don't know much on Eels, but it might help others come up with advice if you could post a pic of the Eel in question. 8)

Hit enter now and then, I had to scroll like 10 feet to read this haha.

Is it a freshwater morey, If so they need brackish when they get older, I heard they are
born in freshwater rivers and swim to the ocean when they mature. Anyway if not housed in brackish after so long they will stop eating and turn whitish and like weird.
After hearing that my eel did not eat about a week I traded him back to the LFS to get a real home.

Good luck I couldnt get that link to work.
