I don't know if my UV light is on what do the symbols mean? It had a circle & a line one for on & one for off but no where in the ****ty instruction manual does it tell you this or much of anything.. Can anyone help, please!

Indicator light next to the button will tell you if the bulb is working or not.
also see the thing next to the switch should be a faint glo there when its on might need to cup your hand over it to see this is to let you know if the bulb is working.
As others have mentioned, the little circle next to the switch is an indicator and is very easily seen when the UV is on.
