You've found the right forum! :) All the info you requested and more are all in here. Just take some time and read through the threads, do a search if your looking for specific things. If you find something that hasn't been answered, just ask. Good Luck ;)

they are veryyy slow growers, they will eat smaller fish, but can be kept with small fish you just gota be careful.

they max out at about 24" but very rarley get over 18" theres a few people on here with big ones.

but what dats are we talking about? indos, widebars, silvers, ngt, thin bar?

They're very territorial towards each other. If you get any, get 1 or a group of 6. I think anything less than 6 will have too much aggression, IMO. They grow SLOW. Some people have been able to get them to a good size quickly, but most of the time...SLOW.

Getting Dats of different sizes will cut back on aggression.

Dats are usually less aggressive towards other species of Dats as well. Mix up the species.

True, if there is going to be a Dat that doesn't follow the norm, it'll be a NGT.

i have a newbie question. i sit possible to mix 2 thins, 1 silver , and 6 indo's together with an ngt? or will this be bad?
