I am getting sick of my oscar not times he can be the coolest fish at others a sucide bomber he is nuts he has mutiple holes across him. He has done something to his left fin and it twicths every now and agian i think he slightly blind in the right eye. He is just nuts just such a angry fish and i don't think i will be able to put up with this will he change later on when he gets older? i am just thinking i want him to go to a good home if i trade him in but i don't know guess i will find out if i keep him or not.

do you have heating and filteration?
do you keep up with 30% water changes atleast weekly?
sounds to me like hes suffering with HITH
And possibly parrasites

exsteamly clean water is paramount when it comes to cichlids,,,
great filteration also!!!
i have heard though its in great debate that carbon in filters can be a contributing factor to HITH so i removed my carbon about a week after i put it in my filter because it looked like holes were apearing and done great water every day and it cleared up,,,

He is just angry and he is healthy no HITH or anything he got some of these marks from whacking the gravel.
I over said what i mean there not all over his body just around his gills since he always smacks them when he gets angry and on one side because that side always gets battered :nilly: .
 
Nah i think i will keep him even if he is crazy and hopefully he calms down later in life i just can't take him from his home guess i will see what happens later in life here is a video it isnt to bad oh well here it is......

Take out all the sharp rocks so he doesn't injure himself so easily.

Ok then if these holes are around his face area then iam going to guess<only from what you say>that there the sensorary pits located on oscars round the face area<only guessing from what your saying!!!!!

Have you ever tryed changing a oscars tank he will go nuts :nilly: i tryed moving his rocks before and that is how he hurt him self real bad because he got really angry :screwy:.

Also Look At The Video You Can See He Has'nt Got To Many Holes Now.
 
dude sounds to me like ure bored of ure oscar, he probably doesnent get angry when u move stuf he probs gets scared and try's to run, the tank in the vid has no hiding places just a couple useless rocks, if u make he feel more comfortable he will be much hapier
