A little background first. 75gal tank, 6 green terrors. 2 didnt grow hardly at all, 3 are about 3 inchs and the other is slightly smaller. One of my females has laid eggs. I believe the largest male has fertilized them as they are tan in color. Just found them last night so Im assuming they were laid yesterday. Not sure what to do now. I picked up all the GTs as babies hoping for them to pair off and they have I guess so now I should remove the others correct? What should I do with the fry? What should I feed them? I guess I needed breeding 101. I knew this would happen and it was my goal but I thought I had more time. Someone give me a crash corse. Im sure Ill have more to ask too. Looking forward to replies.

I use NLS fry food, but any powder will work. I mix it in water an shoot it down to the fry with a tube 2-4x a day. I take the fry out after about 2-3 weeks an start to feed them crushed pellets then move them up to NLS Growth, which is .5mm pellet.

W/C are the biggest help imo, I do 10g on a 55 everyother day... if I do too much the male just wants to spawn again.

Well ill tell you what i did today. i flowerhorns just bred but their tank is a bit over crowded so to prevent them eating the eggs out of stress I opted to remove the eggs since they were laid on some driftwood. i left some with the parents that were on a rock( btw i wasnt expecting them to breed at all they are both about 3"). you can leave the eggs with mom and dad or remove the non guarding parent or seperate vie divider. if she laid the eggs ona removable object like mines did (driftwood) u can remove the eggs and put them in a tank of thair own with water from parents tank. i could tell you more options but i would rly have to know more about what you have at ur disposal to work with. :) baby brine newly hatched are a very good first food.

I dont know about GTs specifically, but in the past when any of my cichlids spawned i removed the other fish and let the parents do their thing (if i was intending to keep and raise the fry). Most cichlids are very good parents (like i said i cant speak for GTs specifically, but the ones i've had were). Without the non parent cichlids in the tank they will probably hatch and grow just fine. Or you can wait for them to hatch and remove as many of the fry as you can catch and try your hand at doing the parents job and raising the fry.
But you will need a second tank any way you go about it if you intend to keep the fry.
Im sure someone with more GT experience will probably correct some if not all of this, but this is the 2 ways i would go about it from what i know.

Here are some pics. Guess I'll be trying to sell them to my LFS along with my other GT's.
Sorry the pics suck.

I like the hump on your male. unfotunatly if this had been two weeks from now or so i would have had better answers seeing as though i just took in a breeding pair of gts. :D. but for the most part the parents should do a good job if u have no other tank to raise the fry in. dont worry if they fail on their first try once they start breeding you should have regular spawnings now
