Ok... So I will start off by saying I currently have 2 20G tanks (refer to my avatar) and 1 is currently overstocked (RD Oscar and Senegal Bichir) So I am going to build 2 New tanks... How does this Rough outline sound?

Build 1 stang for both tanks... Roughly about 6.5' long (tanks are 36" ea)

Build the stand, get it set up in my room.
Then get started on building the first tank... The Dimensions of the tanks are going to be 36" Long by 24" wide by 24" deep... approx. 90G:nilly:

Would this be practical and cost effective??? I will post pics of where the tanks are going to go and you will see why I went with this outline.

I plan on doing the stand with 2 cabinets and each cabinet will have a canister filter on it and both tanks will also be running 2 HOB Filters along with a Fluval or Maybe a FX5 if i get the money...:nilly:

I would like to house the RD and Oscar wit a Pleco and the Senegal Bichir with my 2 EBJDs and a Pleco...

Suggestions are WELCOME and i will try to respond to everybody.

I get paid Friday so this is most likely when the build will begin.

I am building the Stand first then adding the tanks to it.

But should I keep both of the 20s I have and have them running under the 2 90s? or would that just be too impractical?
 
Keep both of the 20's and it sounds like a good idea you got goin

REMEMBER NOTHING IS IMPRACTICAL FOR A MONSTER FISH KEEPER
 
Lol. True true. I might end up with a 75 gallon tank too =) but It comes wit 2 HUGE oscars that are ETREMELY neglected so I want to get it just cause i hate seeing them like that =(
 
And another question. What could I keep in the 20s? Cons? Guppies? Mollies???? are any of those good for feeders?
 
you could do guppies or even a breeding pair of convicts! but i just cant bring myself to breed convicts as feeders!:(
 
why is that?? and could i just sell them to the LFS?
 
yeah i wouldnt breed cons for feeders. you can sell the babys to your local lfs i have a breeding pair of marble cons and i sell them not feed them. and save them oscars if you do that feed them frozen brine shrimp to get them health then feed them feeder guppies or gold fish depending on there size to fatten them up

but as for the 20's just make them holder tanks for you feeder fish if you want to or make one a feeder tank and one with a pair of cons i would go with marble cons they a re beautiful cons
 
they are HUGE and FAT its just that their heads like their WHOLE heads have bald spots... either theyre running into rocks too much or its BAD HITH
 
It could be that they are just running into the rocks cause the one i had before he died he just ran into the glass all the time and i couldnt figure it out. But then i did he was seeing his shadow in the glass and was ramming the glass so i put up a black background up and he stopped
 
lol... well it looks like a SW setup in a FW tank wit 2 raindow sharks and 2 Os so idk... but its midnight here so imma have to go to bed but please leave me more suggestions =) much appreciated
