I have had 2 fish do a disappearing act. I had a full grown Cherry Barb and a full grown Mollie vanish. I haven't seen them in a few days and have been thinking they are under some decor or something. During my tank cleaning tonight, I removed everything and no sign of them. I have nothing in that tank big enough to eat them. The biggest fish in there is a 3" rosy Barb.

I have a HOUDINI red claw Crab that vanishes from the tank clear into the Filterpads of my HOB bio-wheel filter...how she gets past the impeller I'll never know...But when I can't find her I'll look in the filter pads and there she is...TaDa!!

I can't imagine them getting eat either. Not that it's not possible, but every time I've had a fish die I always find it stuck to the filter p/u. It seems like I'd seen them stuck or floating before they got eaten. All the fish in that tank are small. It could take a day or two for them to pick a carcass clean. Or so i would think.
