:nilly: I have midas eggs!!! :nilly:

At least I'm pretty sure they look more like midas and not the red devils that I bought them as. Either way! They are good specimen. Female just covered the side of a rock. They are both in a 90 gallon right now with one lone pleco and one loan giant zebra danio. I have a power head that is moving water pretty good and 2 hot magnum filters. Don't know if there is anything special I need to do to help this situation along. They pair aren't beating the crap out of each other. Not yet any way. Female's doing a good job of guarding the eggs. The eggs were laid yesterday, Sept. 18, around 5pm or so and all still seem to be there this morning. Any recommendations on how to help this lovely couple along would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The pleco will eat them :(

Huh.... Well... I got back from lunch and someone had eaten them. Don't know who... Could've been the pleco. Just wondering how the algae will do without him.

Algae shouldn't be too bad unless you have your tank right by a sunny window. I have gotten rid of my pleco and my tank is about 8 feet away from my window . I have had no issues.

Contrary to thought plecos do not help with algea after they are like 3" people that have them have them because they like them

Good to know guys! I had my tank fairly close to a window. Was on the same wall as the window right next to it. For the most part it was fine, but then I don't know what changed, i had some crazy algae bloom. Like brown too! I threw some floating hornwort plant in and that may have messed with it a bit. Right now it is directly across from a window about 8 feet, so we'll see. Haven't had any issues yet with algae since I moved it to it's current location.
