Hello, I am new to the forum, getting back into the hobby (had to stop when I went to college).
Before I took a break, I had kept a variety of different fish, mostly catfish and cichlids. I would say that the highlights in my fishkeeping history would be my breeding pair of julidochromis transcriptus and my electric catfish, frank. I also developed a special affection for my banjo catfish, earl, who was the only living thing that could survive in the tank with the electric catfish.
Right now I'm getting started again with a 8 gallon planted nano tank (24" by 8.5"), which is really only a temporary fix until I move out of the parents house (just graduated), after which the tank will be used for raising feeders for my future monsters. At the moment there are 3 pigmy gouramies, 3 kuhli loaches, a banjo, and my centerpiece "mini-monster" which is a south american bumblebee catfish.
