Did you know, back in the 50's a company tried to make a product similar to dechlor that would make it possible to keep marine and freshwater fish together?
They never succeeded though...

yeah, my friend apparently converted his red dev to salt water.
apparently he made his freshwater tank the equivalent parameter leve of salt water to haha.
 
yea converting one to the other is usually possible... but it will not be a long lived experiment. evolution... how would your kidneys process salt water eh? and if they were set up to process salt water how would they process freshwater.... not to mention the million other reasons this is pretty much a guaranteed fail. eventually.
