what kind of elbow-length gloves are aquarium safe? dishwashing ones? should i just use garbage bags? plastic bags?
paying $11 for long forceps is not an option. maybe i'll use long cooking chopsticks.

No problem. You should be immune to all water borne diseases since your location says HI. I'm sure you waded out in Ala Wai Canal looking for opae or walking around in the surf at Ala Moana Beach. More nasties there then in your tank.:D

I've had cuts on my hands too. I just wash my hands real good after a tank cleaning.

just wait til tomorrow to mess with your tank

No man, there was a guy that died from being in the ala wai. Apparently he or someone else was drunk, and he got pushed in. He either had cuts or got cut on the sharp shiet down there, but he spent 2 weeks in the hospital just getting eaten alive by bacteria and got disgustingly bloated and then died.

O yeah- tilapia survive in that canal. Just think about that the next time you folks eat that shiet at applebees.

Well, glad I go with the Chicken Fingers!!!

What is this telling us about the quality of your aquarium water... Done a water change this year? :) Just joshing.

I wouldn't worry... maybe give the fish a little excitement at the smell of blood...

But seriously, I wouldn't worry about it.

Just wash your hands first, as always to wash off any chemicals.

go to Sallys (beauty supply) buy a box of cheap gloves.. and use something like medical tape to tape around the edges of the gloves (to your wrists). Also, so that you dont pull every freaking hair out on your arm tearing the tape off, get a bottle of isoprophyl alcohol and cotton balls.. the alcohol disintegrates the sticky goo of the tape..

sorry to over think it, i work in medical everyday so i just think that way
