i have salt around my tank help please

i have a sw tank that i just started i am getting salt build up around my tank on the bottom edges why would this happen and is it normal if its not how do i fix it
 
its just salt creeping out I have it all over the top of my brackish tank and on the bottoms. you can get some aquarium safe silicone and lay a small bead on the outside along the seams.
 
Well, is it just around the bottom? Is it on the top too? Does it come from water coming down the sides? Or is it just appearing from the bottom? If it's ONLY from the bottom and NOT running down the sides, you may have a leaking tank. You need to diagnose and correct it.

Chances are that it is just salt creep - a standard around most salt tanks.
 
thanks for the info it seems to be dripping from the top and i didnt know if it was normal but i cleaned the plastic around the top of the tank and i havent seen any more water thanks again for ur input
