When i asked what could i keep with my snakehead i was told nothing would live with it but my 12" pleco lives happly with my 7" SH and I have seen on many ocasions people keeping tanks with big and small SH with different fish in with them .
What do you think would be for the best keping him/her as they are or putting other fish in with it ?

Yes you are right some snakeheads cohabitate with other fish very well. And my red lived with a large Plec(this was the only fish my one would not try to eat). The problem is you have a red this fish can and will grow over 2.5ft in length. So first things first you will require a suitable tank to house him in. a good friend of mine had a very large red he was in a 10 ft tank with an very large gar a Dorado and a Nile perch. Theses fish had all grown up together and got a long fine but as soon as another fish was put into the tank the red would kill it or maim it to the point it would have to be put down. Reds can cohabitate but you need to give them space and you need to have a fish that is equally as big and that isn’t going to start a fight that it is going to loose.

his temp is about between 26-28

there are some very aggro SH species that will kill everything.
red SHs are not one of them.
they are peaceful until they think they can eat their tankmates.
meaning once theyre as big as the tankmates.
ive kept red SHs with many dif. species of fish.
they will only attack when theyre larger.
especially if there are 2 or more.
the real problem is that they grow large and grow very quickly.
