hey all i havent done a heep of studying on fronts so i figured i would ask a few questions before i get them.

first off , i have a 4ftx1.5ftx1.5ft tank and im only thinking of keeping 2 fronts in it ,if its even possible that is so what im asking is can i keep 2 fronts in a 4ftx1.5.

ill leave it at that for now and see what happens :D

thanks in advance

Yes you could, but you really need to have a small group of fronts as a minimum. Let's say 1 male & 3 females. The 4' footprint could work, but aggression might get the best of you. It all just depends on how aggressive the fronts are.

hmm well i got a empty 4ftx2ft x2.5ft .

what would be the best type of front to get i can get my hands on some blue mpimbwe(spelling???) and 6bars.

You'll be happy with any variant you get, of course the mobas imo are the best looking ones but also one of the most expensive. Just be picky and pay attention to the details of the fronts you'll get. i.e. no mooning, even looking stripes, healthy

Which Front you get will depend on which ones you personally like. Myself, I have always loved the Mpimbwes. Just look over the variants and see which one is right for you.

2 frontosa don't usually work, the big one will pick on the small one.
frontosa are harem fish, they do best in groups.
so the idea is to have a group.

small tanks don't really allow for groups.

so keeping a group is the best option.
if you have to have a frontosa in a small tank, then a single fish is the next option.

you could keep a trio, and have a bunch of caves and pipes to make sure the females or small ones can get away.
really a 5 foot is better, most would say a 6 footer.

oh ok thanks :D.

would a 4ftx2ftx2.5ft be to small for 4 if i have plenty of rocks and hidy holes

if not is it ok to keep 1 by its self?

a 4x2 would be perfect for 3 frontosa
try 1 male and 2 females
i suggest The MOBA zaire variety
more blues and IMO better personality
make sure you have alot of good filtration

how much fronts can fit in a 5ft x 1.5ft x 2ft? and is there a rarity list i can look at? i cant find one on google
