so my flower horn has turned darker and has been digging for the last few days she just dropped her tube.... she is extremly aggresive and seems to have chosen my f1 male xiloaensis is this even possible and is this what her tube should look like?

Yes this cross is possible. Most Central American Cichlids can cross with each other and since there are Amphilophus or part Amphilophus they will produce fry.
If she havent laid eggs yet, you should give them a water change.

Yes it looks like they will spawn soon. Might not get them on the first attempt but more than likely get fry on the second attempt. They are fry compatible.
i wonder if anyone has done this before? i wonder how the fry will turn out? i am still not sure if the xiloaensis will fertelize them he is still young and shows no interest in breeding..... but he is the only fish allowed to go into the cave? i am very confused....
