My catfish has not been out on patrol of the tank as normal, but hiding in an tree root shaped ornament. He/she is usally comes out to feed with the other fish, but has not been out for some time. I have grown him/her from just below 1" to 6" and has been with me for over 7 years. I saw his/her wisker poking out and they gave little twitch so I know my catfish is not dead.

I just hope that nothing is wrong as I have become vey attached over the years.

A Syno. Nigrita. I will try that tonight, although he/she has always came out to feed with the other fish.

noticed any aggression recently from the tankmates?

No new additions since a pair of SD's a while ago but they have never been aggressive. In terms of aggression, There has not been any to or from him/her except when the fish were trying to eat the food that I put in for him, but this was just mild chasing. I know which ornament he/she is in so I will remove it from the tank and investigate further.

I have checked the tank and he/she has moved position. I will investigate firther tomorrow when I have more time.

Some good news. It have seen my catfish swiming about and chasing the other fish while the lights are off. I will wait till the lights come on and see if anything changes.
