Hi all am lucas frm india ,i currently have a 40 gallon tank with 1 juvenile albino veil tail oscar in it..i am planning on getting a 225 gallon tank with banjar red arowana and red mamnon parrots to grow along with my favorate oscar ..his/her name is yamaji ...and i hope this site will help me setup my monster tank....:)

Welcome!

Welcome. Sounds like you want to grow right away your fish will need a tank that big a least with good filtration as I know oscars are big eaters and I think the others are too. I put 2 oscars in a 230 and they are growing like weeds they have a few other tank mates mostly sa cichlids I believe any way that when it comes to tanks bigger is better. Good luck

good for u they r growing like weed..i have had mine for 4 months and he has only grown half a inch..i don no if it is the size of the tank r because hes a albino...i feed him a varied diet even multivitamin sticks.... I will be soon having him in 225 gallon..but with him even the 40 gallon tank looks empty..he is 5inch..

Can i put 8inch arowana with 5inch oscar in my 40 gallon tank for a few months(temp)....until they grow a little bigger...

car.gif i would not put the oscar with the arow... the oscar could still attack and eat the arowana,... Oscars are great but they are aggressive and love to eat..welcome to mfk.. nice to meet you and glad your here.. looking forward to seeing your fish.:D
