I just got bitten!

I had the lid open and my wrist on the rim with my fingers dangling over the water, and in other hand reading back of chemicals and i felt a scratch on my finger, and my foot long red bellied pacu had bit! I didn't bleed, but I'm worried if he is aggressive or is he just hungry!

i would say he thought your finger was food. i wouldnt worry about it.i have been bitten by almost all my fish, african cichlid, s.a cichlids(my jaguar and oscar have made me bleed. ive been bitten by my snake heads, bumblebee cat, almost got bit my my arrowhead puffer, that was close, i had to net him when ever i wanted to clean his tank, i was bit by my needle nose gar(not a true gar), ummm yah im sure theres more i just cant think of any more lol

be glad it's your red belly pacu and not one of my sub adults red belly piranhas. yes i know pacus have teeth too but i bet you would've bleed if one of my guys got ya
