lol, i think the betta i just bought for my empty 10 gallon is in heaven right now. he honestly does not know what to do. he keeps doing small circles still thinking he is in that small cup the lfs had him in. i feel much better today.

good for you. I put a betta in a planted 10g. It was the happiest fish I've ever seen. He lived almost 3 happy years before passing. Post pics!!!

i have heard of giant bettas, any one ever have them, where do i get some

i will get some pics up of it once i move the tank and get some plants in there, its just bare bottom now with him and a small tadpole. it was my old feeder tank, but after the p-bass died i decided to put my tiny monster tank to use. i still feel a lil bad tho, i dont have a light on the tank.

I bet he'll forgive ya for the lack of light. :)

My betta was absolutely exhilarated when he lived in the 55. He even played in the bubbles from the sponge filter. (Unfortunately he started spazzing about his reflection when I put the background on the tank... so now he lives in a ten gallon all by his lonesome. He is still uber happy though)

It's a great feeling to rescue the poor lil guys and give them a spacious home.

i have a small touch lamp set up behind the tank now, i think next pay check im gonna buy a hood for it, i never thought i would need the hood being it was meant for feeders.

I have a betta that I moved from a 1 gallon bowl after a year to a 29. I heard though once you remove them from a non moving "tank" to a tank that has some filtration on it their life span goes down considerable seeing as how their muscles aren't really up to par for it. When I put mine in the tank he is in now he didn't even really know how to swim I used to call him kwazimoto because he swam like he walked with a "hunchback".
