i'm intrested in having a motoro ray. what would be an ideal tank size and tankmates for one? and also what are other kinds of freshwater rays that don't grow huge?

smallest recomended tank size for an adult is a 8x3x2 and that is debatable most people say bigger. The smallest rays are scobina, retic, and hystrix. But good luck finding the true hystrix and scobina, they are on a ban from exportation so prices are pretty high on them.

true, i still just say they have a ban on them simply because they are rare to be imported and once that quota is up....

Motoros will get to 28in or more, not you smaller ray. Even the smaller rays can be 14-18in as adults. Rays are awesome to keep, but just be prepared to upgrade.

the problem is that i'm in iloilo sir. i have to ask for a special request in my LFS for them to order in Manila. By the time I receive the ray i know it would cost almost twice as the original price. Sir may I ask if how much does a motoro ray cost in Manila?
