I will leave this to the people who actually own pbass and monster tanks but i would say it should be fine. As long as you lose the extra unnecesary bioload is cut out. Good luck

I think my tank can handle the bioload. I have a 50g sump, 2pcs eheim 2217's and one 5ft ohf.
