Damn.....They have been in there for awhile together without a problem....but with one bite my Ornate Polypterus just offed one of my Scombs. Another $25 feeder fish served up by yours truly. He snatched him by the head out of no where, and I rushed to the tank to pull him away but it was too late. It was dead from one bite... Now I gotta worry about my other one....I got no place to put either the scomb or the ornate...so they will have to stay together with my fingers crossed.
I'm pissed...

Hey man, sorry to hear about this. Try feeding the ornate more perhaps?
 
SO SORRY TO HERE THIS NEW'S ORNATE CAN BE REALLY NASTY AT TIME'S DON'T GIVE UP ON THE PAYARA'S THEY ARE REALLY NICE WHEN THEY GET BIGGER....
 
I put my ornate and my regular senegal bichir in my 52 gal with my FH. The FH is pissed, but the polys have plenty of hiding spots to avoid his wrath. I think I'm safe for now......true MFK, ******!
 
Sucks.. Mixing monsters is tricky as you've found out.
