I keep getting confused lol (sexing thread)

I am new to the whole world of fish keeping but I think I am slowly coming along lol.

I have a JD that I can't figure out. Every time I think I have it, I read something that makes me wonder.

Not sure why the tank looks green in the pic, it def. is not like that in person.

I was thinking male because the female pics I saw had way more blue on the gills.

Anyone know for sure?

you got yourself a male there partner. you're right too; females have more blue on and around their gills. he's looking good, get him a girlfriend
