But what I'd like to know is where you guys like to shop to get one? I have a 260 I will have inside with the temp at 68 in winter and 76 in summer. I will be going titanium but I have seen controllers that can power individual heaters?? Any advice would rule!! TIA, MFK

I've always liked the ebo-jagers and their reasonable too. They also have a 500 watt titanium for $40 and a 1000 watt titanium for $70. http://jehmco.com/html/heaters.html

I use 3 titanium heaters, 600w each. This controller is awesome. It has a surge protector that comes out of it, and I plug all three heaters into it. The temp probe obviously into the tank. Set the controller to what temp I want, set the variance (how many degrees I will allow it to cool before it kicks the heaters back on) and let it rip. It also has a cooling option. I set mine at 87 degrees, and when it falls to 86 it kicks the heaters on. Awesome device and pretty affordable.
