Can anyone tell me what kind of fish is this? I got it from a friend that has no idea what it is. First pic was taken by friend's camera, all other's were from my phone, sorry about the quality.

hybrid midas/red devil unless you know something about the fish's past, no way to tell exactly.

Yup, most likely a hybrid between a midas and red devil, really could be a pure devil or pure midas, very little chance on that though, nice looking one also.

I got myself one of those about a week ago. i was told by the aquarium owner that it is a red devil. a bit sceptical about it but since you have the same, it is almost sure to be one
