Unm, no. The shell is perfectly smooth. It looks unnaturally smooth.
 
Ok, the ad is gone, but to sum it up, the male redfoot tortoise's shell looked like a river rock.
 
Sounds like a healthy cbb or a recently wc redfoot. There are only a handful of tortoises that aren't supposed to look 'unnaturally' smooth. We're just accustomed to viewing captive tortoises with shell deformities. My own sulcata is bumpier than he should be.

When I say unnaturally smooth, i mean there was no texture... it looked polished. Even smoother than a baby. It looked like a river rock/glass.
