I left my filter off for a week!

Woops lol I just came in to do a water change/maintainence and found the filter turned off! Its a 100g with discus and stuffs. I'm pretty sure ill be fine but what's say you??

Well if your fish are dying and floating or upside down it is not okay. If your fish are happy you should be fine. LOL

Couldn't you just check prams and see if the fish are happy and healthy? Pics would help if you really can't tell.

If the fish are good that was lucky. Oscaroo he is worried because discus are probly the most fragile freshwater fish and everything must be perfect. Hopefully no damage was done to them.

It took you a whole week to figure out the filters weren't running, would have thought you would have noticed it when feeding the fish, checking the fish, checking the temp. of the tank, turning the lights on and off, etc.

Odds are your bb is dead so I hope you have another filter on the tank to re-seed this one

How'd you not know your filter was off? Mine is load enough that if it were off I would have noticed immediately! Keep an eye out on your parameters and do regular water changes to ensure ammonia and nitrites are 0. Maybe lighten the amount of food you feed.
