so i was staring at my pleco and he was just at the bottom, so i thought he was ok. so then i see a plastic decor on top of him and i thought it was trapping him so i checked to make sure. i moved the decor and he didn't budge at all. (akward because he usually swims off when i get near him. then i pick him up and he doesnt move at all!!!! took him out obviously he's dead....i had him for 12-13 years.......

and the poly part is??

same exact thing happened with me and my 12'' common, he was in the same spot for two days..."trapped" as i considered him, in a plastic stump, only that one was a two year old

12-13 years old!!!! Ill pour some of my brew for your dead homie!!!!! drip-pour-May he rest in pleco heaven and have unlimited algae supply and wafers...

Sorry for your loss. Did he have polypterus tankmates? Is that why you're here?

i agree with messiner, wheres the poly part. there is a pleco section you know.

12- 13 years...that was a long run you had. Sorry.

Haha, I thought this thread is about a pleco sucking on a bichir and you throw your pleco away :D Obviously my guess is wrong...

hehe Will it make it better if i mention that my Senegal Bicher would bite my sunshine pleco's side fins and pull him aside when he was in his way to get food? =P He never hurt him, but i thought it was funny how he would grab him and kinda toss him aside to compete for food.
