Seriously.

Most of us are aware that blackmarket smuggling of animals is the second largest ring in the world (second to drugs/weapons). I can see why it's tempting to do if your are greedy. Obviously these people care nothing of the animals they are moving. Over the past decade I've seen some poor shipments of what would have been great animals caught by customs.

But this last round is picture worthy, so I wanted to share. This coral shipment was busted coming into the US by USFW. I'd like to say "thanks" for our new amazing Pacific coral display. :D

Our 500 gallon Pacific reef set up that was kind of hit and miss for coral up until this week. We left the regal blue tang and a pair of clowns in it from the previous set up. Rock we added from other displays we have going. All the coral was part of the bust. Lots of montipora, goniopora (flower pots), open brains, bubble, elegance, tongues etc....

lucky bastard

In the interest of the conservation, keeping anyone else from getting the idea it probably should have been destroyed.

But using someone else's illegal activity for your own personal gain. Sweet.

i dont see any illegal coral.... perhaps the "smugglers" didnt have proper cites?

lol thats not something i would be particularly proud of, bur apparently the OP thinks otherwise.

Must have been for permits, although none of the above pictured would be worth much individualy. Strange.

He works for a zoo, so everything that was given to him was by USFW and is for public display and education.
