I sure hope so ! I can't wait until these grow into beasts ! The first picture is a male for sure . The second picture im not sure what sex it is. I got them from separate LFS in town . The first one was labelled large spot paratilapia and the second one was labelled as a small spot paratilapia. They both are currently in separate grow out tanks. Excuse the dirty glass !

They look great! Wonderful coloration :-)

Thanks ! I don't think people realized what they were. When I got them they were grey and on the brink of death. Im quite proud of my findings !

You should be very proud :-)
How long have you had them and what's their size? I've had my female large spot for about 10 months. She was only 1.5 inches when she arrived. Now she's about 5,with a growth spurt in the last 2 or 3 months. She's really moody and a picky eater.

BTW, any more spawns since the first one?

ive only had them for 11 months. They were not growing as fast as I hoped for but strangely enough they are hitting a growth spurt. The small spot I am unsure of the sex and it is quite the beast . I cannot put the small spot and the large spot pair together . I have learnt that equals death !! I have not seen any more spawns since the first . But I had to do some fish emergency fish shuffling and I also have a very small red terror in with the large spot pair temporarily . I have a feeling this is why I have not seen them spawn again . Soon enough they will have their tank back . The large spot male is about 5 inches and the female is only about 3. The small spot is around 4 but very thick. Confusing ! But I seem to enjoy them out of all the fish I have had . The small spot male will take pellets right out of my hand and will sometimes try to jump at my hand as soon as I open the lid .
