They are a little dark, especially the first one. I really need to get a flash for my camera.......

I presume you're on a DSLR? if so, have you tried using a higher ISO with a quicker shutter speed with tank lights on? that seems to work for me?

Yes, I'm using a Nikon D50 with no flash. My ISO is as high as it can go and I do use a quick shutter speed. The tank lights are on but I'm still having trouble getting pictures that aren't dark. Would a slave flash help?
