I made a DIY wet/dry!

And it is loud like water dripping?

Is there anyother thing I can do other then having a lid?

Its not like a gurgling sounds like from the oveflow but its drippy drippy sound. : /

What can I do to quiet this up?

got to home depot and get some close cell foam make a box out of it then cut the appropriate holes for hoses and wires it dose a great job.
with my air pumps i go to dollar tree and get a Styrofoam beer cooler and put it over the pump

I just wanted to post some pix of my sump just incase anyone wants to see pix.

Its only a 10g sump, but everyone has to start somewhere.

Thats what it WAS, and i didnt like that. So I switched it up!

The brick is only there to hold up the glass. I made two other compartments it the sump, and I will get more pix of that tomorrow. Its just too late now.

Yea it killed me. It gave me a black eye and was all over the walls. I was really sticky. J/k

All though I was really sticky...

I cleaned most of it up with a razor.(spelling I think)

well everyone has to start somewhere, its a good sump, but next time i would maybe think about masking of the area around the devider to get a cleaner finish, useing a razor will clean it up quite a bit, and as for the sound, do you gave a drip tray or does it just flow into the tank like that?

the gargaling that comes from overflows is somewhat unavoidable, a checkvalve sometimes helps though.

The splashing sound is from the water draining & hitting what?
