This is how I make my Beef heart Mix
1, Three pounds of Beef Heart (Cleaned deveined and all the fat off, make sure when cleaning the heart all the outside layers and the arterys are off)
2, One an half pounds sea Cod (make sure that the cod is not farmed raised you want the wild caught)
3, Half a pound of shrimp (make sure the shrimp is wild caught not farm raised)
4, One cup of Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef Flake Food
5, One cup of Spirulina flakes ( make sure that the flakes are pure and not mixed with other stuff)
6, One cup of Loose freeze dried black worms
7, One tablespoon of Nori Powder ( you can get Nori powder from Forest or go to a local Asian market)
8, One tables spoon of Astaxanthin Powder
9, One half table spoon of Pro-Growth from Andrew Soh ( I use the Pro -More for my breeders)
10, Omega-3 Fish oil (soft gel tabs just poke a hole and drain the contents over your mix)
11, Three tabs of Multivitamin and one tab of vitamin C ( I grind to a powder in a coffee grinder)
Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix very well( I found the best way to mix everything is with my hands) Next put portions in a food processor on high stopping a few times to take a spatula to push contents down. Your mix should look pasty and you'll be all done. Next I put contents in Freezer bags and roll them with a rolling pin. Take out what you need for a couple of days and feed with thawed product.
For the Turkey mix I substitute my Beef heart with three pounds of ground turkey.
I use turkey breast and my butcher puts the turkey breast through the meat grinder twice for me.
This is what I do. Hope it helps.......................Josie
