So My African Arowana at times will not move at all then he'll swim around the tank then become sessile again....Is this a sign of a Problem or is it merely conserving energy?
Bump I'll explain better....My African Arowana will swim around "Weee" then he'll stop and just sit on the bottom of the tank then weee up to hours later will sit then move again....Alot of the time I see Afros constantly moving like other Aros so seeing him sit kinda worries me....
i have seen a few stop from time to time, but i don't have one myself...yet...kinda like other aros...95% of the time they are moving, but then sometimes they just hang out for a while...i have seen them rest on the bottom before, but with out seeing some vid of the behavior it is hard to tell you if your aro is not showing some traites of illnesses...
it doesn't look sick...might be taking a break like i was saying...i didn't see how long you said it would sit for versus how long it would swim for...if it spends alot more time swimming and a smalle amount of time "resting" i am going to put my money on that, just resting and no a huge concern unless it increases in freaquencey and duration...
