Ok I know im a noob, but im sure to learn a lot as time goes by.

I recently resealed my 4ft...and guess what? SILICON ISNT GLASS SAFE.. (you want to hit me don't you? :p)

However, I am not gonna experiment with my fish, even though the manufacturer said it SHOULD b e fine. Nope im not playing with my fish.

So the seal is 2 days old, im going to the hardware shop today to get some aquarium safe silicon...

my question: Whats the easiest way to remove this new silicon? a BIT of it will obviously be left, but im going to go over it with the aquarium safe silicone.

That sucks. A razor blade should get most of it off.

What is the brand of silicone you used?

If it is 100% silicone and doesn't have anti-mildew or other stuff it is fine. Most don't say if it's fish safe because that's not it's main use. Also it's testing they don't have to do.

Hmm not sure about this, it says it sticks to glass and says it can be used around food. The only thingi would worry about is the strength of it compared to regular silicone

Also:
Silicone 401 is suitable for form-in-place gaskets and for adhesive, sealing and electrical insulating applications in manufacturing and plant maintenance.

If you decide to remove it and start over, sharp razor blade and rubbing alcohol to clean it

^^got you sir, thanks... its damn hard lol... but if a LITTLE silicon stays is it a big deal?

I don't think you want new silicone sticking to the glass and not old silicone so you need to get basically all off in areas you are going to put new.

grr mind if i get your AIM or a messenger? Might need to ask some questions lol

Yes, you will need to remove all traces of the silicone from the glass. If you haven't already, leave the silicone between the panes of glass in tact. That's the most important part is to not break that original seal, otherwise you will have to take it all apart, reset and reseal the whole thing, instead of just the corner seams.

Good luck. I just used rubbing alcohol to clean it, and where ever it "felt rough" I would go over with the razor blade again. You can buy a little plastic razor blade holder to make it easier on your hands.
