So I did a water change last night and then fed frozen bloodworms, I did a head count and though all of my loaches were out of the stupid fake driftwood so I decided to try and clean it out knowing it had lots of old water likely in it. Well it was nasty and Cant be healthy for them to spend all their time in that dirty water so I decided to totally pull it out to plug all the holes before putting it back in. I left it sitting in the bucket all day because i was being lazy and didnt have time to get to to it.

I shook it out really well in a bucket of tank water and then listened closely for flopping fish when I pulled it out of the water and it seemed empty.

Well we just walked in from dinner and movie and My husbands spotted raphael cat was gasping at the surface of the bucket and my favorite clown loach was floating dead.:wall::shakehead:shakehead:shakehead

I scooped the catfish out and put him in the tank as quickly as possible just to get him out of that nasty bucket water.

He is half hidden but not like he normally does and he is gasping for air. what should I do for him if anything???

i'd say just wait it out...maybe put an extra powerhead in for some more o2

there's not much you can do, like austin said, maybe more o2.

hope all is well, sorry about your CL

yeah that's probably the best you can do. they're pretty hardy i believe so he should be ok..sorry bout the loach, such cool fish.
