I messed up

Man i had a little problem with my FX5 i overtightend the lid fasteners so they got stuck and it leaked a little. So when i noticed the little leak i was about to go out so i turned the filter off and shut the valves so no water flows through it and leaks. Well i came home that night at like 3 in the morning and forgot about it so i finally got the replacements and realized i never emptied the the water out until today. And man it stinked like it was so bad i almost threw up . I think ive learned my lesson but im curious if anyone else has done this?

no, never did that but just had a fx5 not working @ all, but its fixed, sorta..Dirty impellor..

Im sure someones forgot to turn thier filters back on, I've done it before, after doing a wter change and cleaning the filter out, I left it off for about 30 hours!

I had to break down a tank and the filters were off for about 2 days. OMG the stench!!!!! Well I cleaned it and put it back on the tank. Good thing there were 2 other filters on the tank so I didnt have to worry too much about my fish.
