By defination not a cichlid found in the wild so it is not a species with a scientific name, therefore the common name "flowhorn". There are many mysteries surrounding the origin of the fish as they have been mixed with many different species over the years so it's impossible to say what one is mixed with compared to the next. What I can tell you is that the fish in question is a hybrid of two or more (likely more) species and often times trimacs, the species I mentioned above is part of that mix. I am not as familiar with the flowerhorn varients so if you would like I can have this moved to that secion for a better ID of which type of flowerhorn you have? Just let me know and I'm happy to help
