so i have some diy co2 set up, and being as i think the plants would make more use of the co2 in the day, i was thinking about just kinking the air tubing that leads into my tank and un-kinking it in the morning. do you think the pressure of two 2 liter diy co2 bottles is too much for that long or will it be alright? i'd really like to try this tonight , so hellllllllllllllp!!!!

I wouldn't risk it. The mess DIY co2 setups leave when bursting is awful

your not going to prolong the co2 production by doing this
just let it run 24/7 with DIY co2 you shouldnt have a huge ph swing at night

that answer spoke to me a little more.

I don't use CO2, but I have a suggestion. How about capturing the CO2 produced at night in a low pressure gas bladder (garbage bag, etc.) and then during the day, pump it into your system with an air pump.
