I need a feeder fish to breed

i have a 45 gallon octagon tank and im getting some oscars and outher fish eaters and im wondering whats a good type of fisht o breed that get about 1 - 2 in fast.?

i was thinking of just tossing in like 30 gold fish feeders and see if they breed without my help but i have no clue what to do. ?
 
goldfish wont breed that easilly. if u want breeders get some cons or some livebearers. and the oscars are not going to be ok in a 45g tank.
 
Convicts are a good fish to breed. They grow fast, and raise they fry so all you have to do is feed them and take care of the water and they do the rest.
 
convicts would be your best option, or a livebearer would work but cons have lay more eggs that livebearers have in a litter.
 
... i said the 45 gallon is for the breeders ... i have a 120 gallon and getting a 240 in like 9ish months.

and ill check on the convs thanks guys
 
i breed guppys and mollys for my fish once thay start reproducing there is always fish
 
I breed rosy red minnows for feeders, they breed just like cichlids, guarding the eggs, not too much guarding the fry but I have a huge tank full of them and all I do is feed and change water
