Hey guys. The 30g tank I purchased came with a marineland 100 filter. The bio wheel is not spinning. Any suggestions on what filtration system to get. I have oscars in there for now but once transferred I will still use the tank for smaller fish.

I have a fluval 205 on a 36 and the water is super clear

I use Aqua Clear filters for all my tanks, especially the smaller ones under 100g...........Anything over 100g, I build a sump wet/dry filter, but I still use the AC101 for mechanical filtration...........I will use an AC70 for a 30g.............

I have one more minor question unrelated: why does it say red claw crab under my username? What is that about?

That is your "ranking" that depends on your post count. The more posts your have, the bigger the fish becomes under your name. It's just kind of a tongue-in-cheek thing that doesn't mean anything. You can also PM a global moderator to change it to something custom if you want (you probably need to be around a little longer for them to consider it though).
For your filtration, I would recommend an eheim 2217. It comes with media and is reliable and silent.

Thanks! I figured it was something like that. And thank all of you for the filter input
