I need to know what type of flowerhorn I have. Can anyone give me a positive ID? She just mated with the texas you see in the last photo. Half of the eggs look fertile. We'll see in a few days if they hatch. Anyways, with so many varieties of FHs, I can't keep up. This fish was given to me by my African-crazed friend. I never had the chance to talk to the breeder that he got if from. She is a little spitfire... can't wait for fish babies!

Yup, that's her new mate actually. He's had mating colors for several days now, which I must say is impressive.

I am a nervous wreck waiting on babies. The eggs have started to get the black dots on them... looks like little eyes. I scrounged up a 15g to move the babies to and tracked down brine shrimp eggs in anticipation of them hatching tomorrow or friday. Fingers crossed...

If you are right, I don't need to move it. I am still learning this site. How do I move threads? And thanks for the info.

BTW, I've got wrigglers.. about 150 I guess.

Wildy... ya lost me there... but thanks for commenting.
I love this little fish to death. I feel stupid saying that, but she's kind of on par with my cat... oh, and apparently she is a Blue Dragon ZZ Flowerhorn. She still has a ton of growing to do and I recently started her on a higher protein krill and color enhancing diet... I will post some more pics after she is done being a mom.

:WHOA:I actually miscounted horribly on the number of fry... I have around 300 FH/Texas babies.
