I live about 2.5 - 3hours south of Vancouver BC, and REALLY want to come check out the local fish market. I know there are fish there that are legal that are not here that I would LOVE to see in person for the first time!!

Are Snake Head legal in Canada? I wanna see one in person!!! I see a lot of pictures, but I cant imagine their beauty when it right before your eyes. Same with Red and golden Asian Arowana. I want to take lots of touristy pictures! lol...

My only problem is that I would have no idea where to look!!

Anyone know how to solve my problem?? I want to take a trip up there this spring or summer.... :woot:

Go to big Als in Edmonton, they have a 2' gold aro on display, they also carry multiple snakeheads.

there's also a big al's in vancouver (rrichmond i think? or burnaby?). they might have stuff like in the edmonchuck store (i've been to the one in edmonton, but not Van), but you won't have to drive 15 hours to get there...

Just don't get caught smuggling them back home... Though if you do try go with the breast implant method, with the bags of water you're already half way there. Just make sure they double bag em.

Too bad I don't live in Vancouver nomore. I was born and raised there and I'd be happy to show u around and yes BigAls in richmond usually have Asian Aros and snake heads.

it not called Big Al's anymore its called Island Pets Unlimited. the franchise cut off the owner of the Richmond and Burnaby stores and he went independent.

there's also Canadian Aquatics its a company based out of both Richmond and Vancouver. they get snake heads from time to time. there's also a place down town that specifically deals with Asian Aros.

heres both their websites:
