hello all mfk's im a junior, business admin major. i love my fish i have a 75 gal with a 12" clown knife and its safe to say that im fairly well addicted. i would really like to own or manage a fish store (that you all could come and get sweet deals at) or at least work in the fish business some way or another. so my question is: any suggestions of places to look for some work experience or a job. is there any lfs owners/managers on here that could give some advice to someone looking into starting a business.

Go to WetWebMedia. The have a whole section with TONS of articles on how to get started in the fish business. Some is very in-depth stuff, everything from finding wholesalers, getting the cash together, plumbing your store, etc.
thats my fear, but right now i cant think of any other job that i would enjoy as building and tanking care of aquariums.
with a buisness degree u could come down here to fl and work at any of the big fish farms

if u want to be hands on find a job at an aquarium or zoo or start your own buisness but its hard and the pay is not always great
if u want to make more money use that degree and get into the buisness aspects of it

a different thought i had was to start an office aquarium thing.. where i would setup stock an office's aquarium then once a week come do the water change and basic matinence. all the fun of taking care of and setting up aquariums but on some one else's dime
