ok i got a 15gal tank with a shortbody flowerhorn/texas hes about 5inchs i had the tank running for awile now the water was perfect 1s i put the fish in it went bad i tried everything water changes i put nutrafin cycle in there i dont feed him alot or anything i just got him a new 36gal tank and im waitin on that 1 to cycle but i gota get this 15gal water safe for my flowerhorn baby what should i do

take everything in the 15 and put it in the 36 filter and all. if water treated the bio load should come along. i think... really i just think o someone with more xp can tell me if i am wrong. i think it worse for the fish in the 15 gal ?
yea thats what i did but from my 55gal tank to the 36 but its still not ready i need a few more days
The water went bad because he's a 5 inch fish in a too small tank. Take the filter from the current tank and add it to the bigger tank along with whatever filter you were going to use on the bigger one. The larger water volume is more important, even if the tank is not fully cycled. Monitor your parameters closely and keep things under control with water changes, and by dosing with Prime until the tank is fully cycled.
