I need a little help with an ID

I got this guy several months ago on sale from the common pleco tank. I actually had forgotten about him... Tonight when i was turning the little light off in my son's room i noticed it on the intake tube of the filter.. I was like where did he come from...

neways any help with identifying would be greatly appreciated...
