Ok here's the thing. I need a Longnose Gar that will be able to fit comfortably into a 75 Gal. tank. Does anyone know where i could find one ASAP?:nilly: (it has to be in really good condition) If you find anything out let me know.

no longnose gar (Lepisosteus Osseus) will fit comfortably in a 75. what would youre future plans be with the fish?

really? i would have thought tristoechus is the next to spatula

Cubans are at least easily housed, as long as one can keep the water parameters in line. if we were talking husbandry then i would also rank the Shortnose near the top.

there are no gar that can be successfully housed in a 75g. much less a longnose which will max out at around 3'. i have a 16" longnose in 75g but working on a pond.

I'll ask again... is this for a display tank for a specific reason? I really can not see an ASAP need for one of these fish other than this. If it is for legitimate educational reason I have one for you. If it is for private purpose though I do not and will not have one available.

Please be ready with a human contact Phone number to a known facility (yourself plus one confirmation number) and you have one tomorrow no problem.. If Private acquisition it is not a damn chance in hell I'm sending one..Period...

This is his only post and his last activity was 2 minutes after he wrote this so he must not need one ASAP....I wouldn't waste your breathe about it.

I'm not so immediately disapproving.. This sounds like a possible legitimate request. I've been there before so can understand it and read it as such.. I'd not expect a quick contact back if it was a legit request actually. I'll keep an open mind on this and not jump to conclusions..

In reality If legit in this request Gargal has her fish. (And can figure out how to contact me for further details).. No more need to comment on this post or add anything more to this thread..

Gargal contact me via PM and we can go from there... I am the likely only source for this fish "right now" Identified and confirmed from known locality and I have two surplus I may part with for the right reason.. If desired I can provide fry and advanced larval stage fish within the next few weeks. if for legitimate educational reasons and not for private use you have the fish..
