I have a 5 inch female dovii and it looks like a 2 inch female dovii. Would it be safe for me to put 4 more 1.5 - 2 inch dovii's in the same tank till I come up with a male???

They are going into a 85 gallon for now, would a strong powerhead help?

i think that large female will end up punking everything.
i'm not sure what you intend to help with the powerhead aside from providing aeration and current? i dont think that will assist in the prevention of aggression.

So would the only other option other than getting another tank(no more tanks for me untill I get my 2 monster tanks, I already have 9 tanks in my basement and one in my bedroom) would be to just wait till I find a male either the same size or bigger???

May be I'll try a divider if things get too violent!!!

maybe if you have a lot of hiding places it may work some will probably get beaten by your large female you might not be able to tell if the smaller is male or female jue to size atm but i think it may work, you could always put a divider in and put the large female in one side and the rest in the other???

I wouldn't put anything smaller than a dovii in with a dovii, even if it's a dovii. The only exception would be a breeding pair, but my male still harrasses my female alot so I keep a divider handy.

:iagree:

quit talking about dovii and post pics of the umbees you just got man

If you hAVE a seperate tank, buy several small dovii and raise them, then thin them out when you figure out thier sex. Once you have a modertalely large male (inch or two smaller than the female), put them together.
